Statement of the Exhibition
On this occasion, as an artist born and bred in Kobe, I want to make my first exhibition in Kobe a truly significant and special exhibition.
I deeply inspired by the Japanese classics, aims to link the Kobe classics to my own concepts, projecting them into various works and connecting this to the significance and direction of being an artist from Kobe.

2024.11.10 (日) 14:00 - 16:30 1. Art performance by Mari Hiraga 2. Talk show with Special guests | Overview | Art performance The various parts of the sculpture are assembled like ikebana to create a sculpture that is 2m wide It expresses dramatic Nohkan instrumental music and space Event Venue：1F Talk show Title "Observing the Past, Considering the Future: The Importance of Connecting Kobe's Appeal to the Future" We aim to delve deeper into Kobe's uniqueness and charm by reflecting on history, ensuring it carries forward into the future. We will invite special guests to unravel the charm of Kobe history from a wide variety of perspectives We would like the talk to compare different ages and discuss "The past, present, and future of Kobe" We believe that learning from the past is useful for Kobe town development moving forward We will move to the talk show after the art performance We will move to the 2nd floor for the talk show after the art performance Event Venue：2F Talk show guests Takahisa Kato, Honorary Chief Shinto Priest of Ikuta Shrine and Elder of the Association of Shinto Shrines, will discuss past and present Kobe in a knowledgeable way, looking at history going back to AD 201 Yukihiro Kikuchi, former owner of fashion buildings Ijinkan-club who was involved in town development in the Kitano district of Kobe Support Eiji Hashiyama, Representative Director of the Eizo-Tsushin General Incorporated Association : Photographing scenes from the event on the day Ichikazu Sugi, Morita school flutist of Noh play : providing the audio source to be used during the art performance Entry is free of charge The art performance will be held for approximately 30 minutes on the first floor of the gallery The talk show will be held for approximately two hours on the second floor of the gallery |

Meeting
I had a meeting for the talk event at Ikuta Shrine.
Afterwards, I took a walk in the forest, Ikuta-no-Mori, mentioned in various poetry collections and Noh chants, Utai.

To a traditional Japanese-style house
Today, I visited a traditional Japanese-style house and viewed various cultural artifacts.
There were swords from the Nanboku-chō period to the Azuchi-Momoyama period, and Photo 1 shows a sword from the Muromachi period.
The blade pattern of the sword in Photo 2, which was received from my respected and favorite historical figure, Oda Nobunaga, is well-defined and exudes a sense of resolute purity, which captivated me.
Afterwards, I visited Minume Shrine.

Meeting face to face
Today, I visited Ikuta shrine for a face-to-face meeting related to the talk show in Nobember. There was also the opportunity to watch "Takigi Noh", which is one of the Autumn Grand Festival events held on consecutive days. The programs on this occasion were "Aoi-no-ue","Suma-Genji" and so on. The Noh play "Aoi-no-ue" is a performance based on the "Aoi" volume of Murasaki Shikibu's "The Tale of Genji."
We plan to hold a meeting with the two of them at a later date regarding the content and flow that the talk show will have.

Meeting
The plans for the solo exhibition to be held in November are gradually taking shape.
This solo exhibition, which will be held in all rooms on the first floor of the Flora Artist Gallery in Kitano, will be packed with elaborate events on 9th Nobember!
